10/10 would recommend | explained
Remember how I said I really wanted to make something that was actually useful? Well, over the past week I have developed “10/10 would recommend”, a page that lets you rate anything out of five stars. Here’s how to get the most out of it:
“10/10 would recommend” has since been totally redone and may work differently now. At some point I will make updated instructions in the form of either a blog post or help page.
- Click the “+” button to add a new rating (or SHIFT+ENTER), max 20
- Click the “-” button to remove a rating (or SHIFT-BACKSPACE)
- Click the “✔” button to share your ratings (or S, when not editing), this copies a link with the ratings to the clipboard
- Click on one of the rating titles (default is “click to edit title”) to edit it, this clears the current title
- If you were already editing another title, that title will be set (if it was left empty, the changes will be reverted)
- Press ENTER to set the title and stop editing (if left blank it will reset to default)
- Press ESCAPE to revert changes
- Please note: there is a limit for how long the title can be, unless the stars and title are on separate lines
- Click on a star to fill that star and all stars to the left
- Press F to toggle fullscreen (when not editing), or ESCAPE (but only to exit fullscreen, and only when not editing)
- Press I or ? (when not editing) to view this help page
- Press H (when not editing) to hide the buttons (toggle)
- Navigation links change colour on hover (when pressed) on mobile
- The empty space to the right on the about page has been spruced up with a bunch of icons (very experimental change, please give me feedback on this)
