Why is brown LEGO so bad?

Structurally, LEGO is amazing. The bricks’ clutch power and ability to be made into huge things is fantastic. So, why does brown LEGO suck? I was building something out of brown a few days ago and pieces kept breaking. What?! Why is one colour so bad? Little bits of pieces would break off when I connected them to others or took them off.

Okay so I finally looked it up, it appears that they have indeed fixed the problem, I guess I just have a lot of brown pieces from before 2017. Here is a theory from Reddit as to why the pieces are/were so terrible:
